What happens after I send my message?

For 30+ days listings, the message will be received by the Swappin team and our team will get in touch with you. We will send a curated list of messages to the hosts, who can choose to accept or decline. If they accept, we’ll introduce you in a group chat so you can ask questions and confirm the details.
For shorter listings, you can engage directly with the host.

How much does it cost for guests?

Swappin is always free to use for guests.

How do you ensure the listings are not spam?

For 30+ days listings, we manually verify users and listings to ensure they are legitimate. We also require ID verification for all hosts to add an extra layer of security.
For shorter listings, you can request the host to complete ID verification.

What happens after I hold a listing?

Once you place a hold on a listing, it will no longer be visible to other users, ensuring that no one else can book it while you wait for the host’s response. If the host accepts, the booking will proceed as planned. If the host declines, your hold will be released, and you will receive a full refund.

Why do I have to sign a subletting agreement?

The subletting agreement protects both you and the host by outlining clear terms, ensuring transparency, and avoiding misunderstandings. It also helps prevent last-minute cancellations or unexpected issues. Both hosts and guests are required to sign a subletting agreement for 30+ days listings.

Insurance provides protection for both you and the host in case of unexpected damages or issues during your stay. It ensures a smooth and worry-free experience for everyone involved. We require guests to have a renter's assurance for 30+ days stays.

Medium-term sublets (30+ days): The Swappin team helps facilitate the matching process, handles ID verification, manages the transaction, and provides a subletting agreement. It’s free for guests, and once a match is made, Swappin takes a 10% fee from the host’s transaction.
